Influenced by the likes of Adele, Christina Aguilera, Amy Winehouse, Pink, Florence Welch and Emeli Sande – the powerful voices of the industry. She grew up listening to a very eclectic music mix from Elvis, to AC\DC, but loved listening to the classic jazz/blues icons such as Aretha Franklin and Etta James.
When she was 14 she entered Live & Unsigned a national musicians competition which led her to a 2 year development course for the academy of Baby Girl Music until finishing school. She has however continued to have an ongoing relationship with her artist development Mentor Penny Foster with whom she now co writes with on certain tracks. Anna also writes on writing camps with Penny Foster & Nottinghill Music and Tileyard Studios.
Anna’s first EP was released when she was only 15 it was recorded in a friends dining room, but Anna being Anna has seen her abilities improve and has removed the EP – in her words “I’ve come on a bit since then”.
Anna now goes to Access To Music College and is in the process of writing and recording her first album planning a release at the beginning of April and ready for the Sandi Thom concert @ The Sage Gateshead.
